PDG Jeff Leipprandt has made it the RI
Convention in Calgary, AL, CA. He reports
that he has had many chances to participate.
The club will hear more.

23 June 2025: Shelly Gunden will introduce Carleen Goetze, a Licensed Massage
Therapist – chair massage. June: Rotary Fellowship Month 30 June 2025: Officer Installation noon at the Karl and Helen Leppien Centerfield Patio. The price will be $15.00 per person, please RSVP to Barb or Debbie. Volunteers for desserts are needed. 7 July 2025: It’s a new Rotary year! Hans Eichler will introduce John Trowbridge from the Johnny T Tournament will be the program.


14 July 2025 Lisa DiCamillo is scheduled to introduce Jenny Turner who will talk about painting.

 

16 June 2025 Barb Main introduced Joe Lounsbury Team Leader of the Tech Team
with AVS Broadband. *Joe spoke about the ‘Six Essentials to Cybersecurity’.
*Take it slow. Most cyber-attacks are intended to provoke an immediate response.
*Use the sniff test. If it seems to good to be true, it probably is. *Know your audience. When you give access to others to your computer, be sure you know them.
*Keep it unique. When creating passwords and passcodes be sure they are strong and unique including using multifactor authentication when available. *Have a backup plan. Backup data regularly and install protection software. *Be deliberate. Have an objective when working with a computer, you’ll be less likely to stray. Limit public access locations.

 

Pres. Randy reported 
Recent communications from RI Pres. Stephanie Urchick. RI Pres-elect, Mario de Camargo from Brazil has resigned his position and will not assume the office of RI Pres. for 2025-26 because of personal and business concerns. The RI Board of Directors have nominated and Francesco Arezzo from Italy has accepted the nomination to serve as RI Pres. 2025-26.


*RI Pres Stephanie said that this transition reminds us that Rotary is more than any one
individual.

*The Rotary Minute was about giving
blood. Paul Claubsch said he has given 110
pints of blood. Thanks Paul!

Up Coming Events:
21 July 2025: The official visit of D6310
Governor Paul Wiese will be with lunch at
the Leppien Pavilion. There will be a golf
outing at the Scenic Golf and Country Club.
A steak fry at the home of Michelle and
Mark Hill, to which all including spouses
are invited, just make a reservation.
11:00: Board meeting with the DG.

Rotary at one time concentrated on
attendance. Although, attendance is
important to the life of the club, community
service is also important. Pigeon Rotary has
tried various ways to gather community
service information from club members.
